Photo of the Day: Week 8

Obvious theme of the week: family!  Not obvious theme of the week:

Spending every spare non-family, non-critical life-task moment having the time of my life with a man one of my besties dubbed “The Male Version of You.”

Thanks to my looming trip to the American South and my impromptu springtime foray to Australia, my days in the American Southwest are suddenly quite numbered.  For awhile, I refused to acknowledge that I cannot be in two places at once (e.g. achieving family goals in the U.S. while getting to see all my Australian friends.)

Lesson  of the week (albeit having nothing to do with photos): you can’t do it all, Jema.  You can’t.  Give up.  Settle for really really good instead of “everything.”  Also, please sleep more than three hours a night.  Please.

When a top slow travel blogger brings her coffee making device to the 24/7 office you rent, but the stovetop is induction and the pot is aluminum. #worked #kind of

Road trip to Nogales with the Grams cancelled thanks to her unexpected medical complications. But that doesn't mean we can't have a lovely evening of butter/fish/greenbeans and cards. It also doesn't mean that I can't come from behind to sweep the game. #sorrynotsorry

Finally got to go to my sister's favorite theater - Roadhouse Cinemas. Just like the Alamo Drafthouse! Lovely to have drinks and food delivered to the comfort of your recliner. Hidden Figures was so good, the audience regularly *clapped.*

Last auntie/nephew day! This kid was out of his mind with excitement about getting to DRIVE! Little did I know, I was technically practicing for later that night when welding-class plans would morph into actual racetrack plans with aforementioned dude whose company I so enjoy.

Coming soon to your YouTube screen - backpack capacity explanations and visuals shot all around Tucson and edited in "The Zone" at the U of Arizona with this lovely man.

Father/Daughter day target practice. I may or may not have been an ACE with the 22 that day. Sig pulled to the left for both of us. Wind not insignificant for most the day. Love getting to spend time with my padre!
