How Smartphone-Free Travel Rocks Your World

Imagine.

You land in a new city.   Just inside the airport, you stop to “check-in” on Facebook.   You stand by the arrivals board looking up directions for transit to downtown.   On the bus/train, you review the directions to the place you’re staying.   You see your “check-in” now has three likes.   You have four other notifications.   While you’re looking at them, you get two snapchats from two different friends.   You snap them back.   Just before you turn off your phone, the email you’ve been waiting for comes in.

Photo a Day: Week 4

I feel like a made a million new friends this week.  Which is far more than an introvert can really handle.

2017: The Year I Say Hello

I’m not always a New Year’s Resolution person, but I am constantly setting and refining goals. I never pass up the opportunity to re-assess. 1It’s fitting that as a permanent nomad, my to-do lists tend to be location oriented. Generally something like: To Do Before Leaving Location A; To Do in Location B; To Do in Location C. Don’t get me wrong — these aren’t lists of sights to see or activities to enjoy. They are things like, “research bitcoin investing,” and “write ‘How To Get Free Flights,” and “Call Staci.”

I have four resolutions this year.
